Celebration of Heroes is an autograph show where former and current players will donate their time and the financial proceeds from the show will help former Raiders who are in need. We are asking for your support of this very important event.
For many retired Raiders, life after a professional football career is a constant battle. Many are faced with serious health issues, and in some cases, these situations are life threatening. Available financial resources are far from enough to live modestly and pay for medical help.
Former teammates and those associated with the Silver and Black know first hand just how much these men sacrificed for the game. They are taking action and this event is their way of helping. The proceeds will establish a fund for retired Raiders. Thanks to the efforts of former Raider Greats, Howie Long, Marcus Allen, many others and the National Football League Player's Association Executive Director Gene Upshaw, the Fund has been formed. A Board of Directors will make grant decisions based on need after an application is received.
Those participating in the autograph sessions will donate their time and the proceeds. All other proceeds from program sales, after expenses, will go to the fund.
It is the vision of those involved that this event endures and is a blue print for other teams in the league to offer assistance to their past heros.

All mail-in items are sent at customer's risk. We recommend that you provide proper insurance on all of your own item(s). We will not accept items valued over $100 unless the Silver and Black Fund has received a written request and we provide written authorization to send the item. Under no circumstances will the Silver and Black Fund have any liability in excess of $100 per mail-in item. All mail-in items must be received by Tuesday, April 4th, 2006. Any items received after the deadline date are subject to being mailed back to you. Your items: Please add the approiate Shipping Rate as listed in the Shipping Chart Above.
For all players, there is a fee listed for special inscriptions or personalizations, unless otherwise noted. Players reserve the right to reject any item. The Silver and Black Fund is not responsible for any items sent back via an untrackable carrier. There are no refunds or exchanges on mail-in items once received by the Silver and Black Fund.
